We received 6 wonderful new missionaries this week. We are praying for 6 more Americans to receive their Visas. I'd like to introduce you to Elders Alves, Freire, President, Elders Cardoso, Pacheco, and Paulo, Sisters Souza and Swenson.
This month we are very sorry to lose Elder and Sister Pereira who have been helping us so much with our missionary housing, and with medical appointments and so much more. Sister Pereira is a wonderful seamstress and helped with all of the missionary clothing too. Elder Pereira was called to be the 2nd Couselor in the Porto Alegre Temple Presidency (again.) So we still get to see them when we attend the temple with our missionaries . . . . but we are going to miss them so very much.
It is also time for Elder Valeriano (Curt's assistant) and Elder Lopes (Executive Secretary) to head back out to the field full time. They have served so very well, and will be missed greatly.

We welcome to their new callings (bottom row) Elder Hickman (new Assistant) Elder Christofferson (Financial Secretary in training) Elder Miranda (Housing Secretary) Elder de Carvalho (Executive Secretary.) I'm not sure if you can tell but it might be argued that Curt is bringing in some tall Elders so he can play basketball:) Elders Mattos, Hickman, and Christofferson are all quite tall.
